Cathy R. Arvidson, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, FAANP is an associate professor at Idaho State University School of Nursing. She has been a faculty member at ISU since 1992. Dr. Arvidson serves on the graduate faculty and serves as the coordinator for the family nurse practitioner option. Her research interests include health promotion, distance learning and child health. Dr. Arvidson serves as the chair of the Advanced Practice Advisory Council to the Idaho Board of Nursing. In addition she is Region 10 Director for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Arvidson received her PhD in Nursing Science from Texas Women's University.
