July 8 & 9th - Rock Climbing @ City Of Rocks
Tucked away in the Albion Mountains of south central Idaho one can travel back in time to the days of the wagon train pioneers. The City of Rocks area was an important landmark on the California Trail. Pioneer diaries from 1843 on describe the rocks in vivid detail as “a city of tall spires,” “steeple rocks” and a display of “all manner of fantastic shapes.”
Venture out with Camp Escape to the world famous City of Rocks. Learn to rock climb, meet new friends, enjoy a Dutch oven cooked dinner, and camp out beneath a full moon. If you would rather hike the numerous trails steep in pioneer history than climb that’s an option too. Nothing feels better after a day of rock climbing and hiking than a soak in a hot pool. As an added bonus we will enjoy the pleasures of soaking at Durfee Hot Springs. Go Bengals!
