Denise M. Bowen, RDH, MS, published a paper entitled "History of Dental Hygiene Research" in the Special Commemorative Issue of the Journal of Dental Hygiene June 2013. JoAnn R. Gurenlian, RDH, PhD, coauthored with Ann Spolarich, RDH, PhD, the paper "Advancing the Profession Through Doctoral Education" in the same journal.

Dr. Mary Nies was selected to participate in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Wharton Executive Leadership Program

Dr. Mary Nies, Division of Health Sciences Associate Dean and School of Nursing Director was selected to participate in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Wharton Executive Leadership Program, where she attended a four day intensive training program in mid-June, 2013. Offered by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, this highly competitive program is designed for chief nursing academic officers.

Ruiling Guo, Dr. Patrick Hermanson and Dr. Tracy Farnsworth have received an Assessment and Planning Award from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine/Pacific Northwest Region

Ruiling Guo, Associate Professor and Health Sciences Librarian, Dr. Patrick Hermanson, Program Director and Assistant Professor of Health Care Administration, and Dr. Tracy Farnsworth, Associate Dean of the Division of Health Sciences, have received an Assessment and Planning Award from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine/Pacific Northwest Region. This award has been granted for them to conduct a research project on evidence-based management among Idaho healthcare administrators.
