Bradi Hutchison was the final Bengal track and field student-athlete to compete in the NCAA West Regional at the University of Oregon. The Idaho State junior competed in the 5,000 meter run and finished 34th with a time of 16:55.87.
Her finish on Saturday was the second best performance in ISU history and she is the only Bengal women's track athlete to finish the 5,000 meter run in a time under 17 minutes, a feat she has accomplished twice this year as she ran a 16:29.44 at the Mt. Sac Relays in April.
"This was her first time at this event," Idaho State distance coach Brian Janssen said. "The fact that she made it as a junior was great. She got great experience that will help motivate her for next year."
Hutchison was one of seven Bengals that competed at the West Regionals over the last three days.
