ISU receives $1 million for scholarships

Idaho State University will receive $1 million in scholarship funds as part of the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation $20 million "Go On" program.

"Go On" is a statewide initiative designed to address Idaho’s post-secondary success rate and increase opportunities for Idaho students. Idaho ranks 43rd nationally when considering students who enter college and complete a degree. This program will help the state improve that ranking. (read more...)

Idaho State University and College of Southern Idaho partner to offer programs in the Wood River Valley

Idaho State University Provost Gary Olson and College of Southern Idaho Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer Jeff Fox signed a formal Memorandum of Agreement Wednesday, Dec. 2, in a ceremony held at CSI's Blaine County Center in Hailey. The two institutions agreed to collaborate on a range of academic programs to be offered in the Wood River Valley. (read more...)

ISU Student Physics Club Receives National Award

The Idaho State University Society of Physics Students (SPS) has received the 2009 Outstanding Chapter Award from the National Society of Physics Students and the American Physical Society.

According to Steve Shropshire, ISU physics professor and the faculty advisor for the club, SPS Outstanding Chapters are determined each academic year after a careful review of the information, photos and supporting material presented in annual Chapter Reports. (read more...)
