ISU-Meridian and Renaissance High School building design takes top architecture award
Nov. 7, 2012
Architectural design of the Idaho State University-Meridian Health Science Center and Renaissance High School have taken this year’s top award in a competition sponsored by the Idaho chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Judges applauded Hummel Architects of Boise and Beniton Construction and Sletten Construction companies for the innovative design and renovation of the former Jabil Circuit plant, located on Interstate 84 at Locust Grove Road in Meridian.
The design features skylights and exposed ductwork, preserving the building’s industrial feel. ISU-Meridian and Renaissance High opened in summer 2009 and share common space and teaching areas. Click here for story and photos in the Idaho Statesman’s Business Insider.
