Sheldon D. Alver

Plant Manager - Monsanto, Soda Springs Sites

Sheldon began his career with Monsanto in 1991 as an electrical engineer at the company's Luling, Louisiana Plant. He transitioned into management in 1994 and held supervisory positions at Luling in the Acetaminophen, Ammonia, and Glyphosate Intermediate units until 1999. In 1999 Sheldon transferred to Monsanto's Fayetteville, North Carolina plant as the Roundup� Business Unit Manager where he worked until his transfer to Soda Springs, Idaho in 2001. Since arriving in Soda Springs Sheldon has held positions as the Business Unit Leader for Human Resources and the Business Unit Leader for Manufacturing prior to his current role.

Sheldon holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, both from Tulane University.

Sheldon is active in a number of wildlife conservation organizations and is an officer in the local chapters of Safari Club International, Southeast Idaho Mule Deer Foundation, and Pheasants Forever. He is also an active volunteer for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, the North American Moose Foundation, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He is the current president of the Evergreen Heights Subdivision.

Sheldon is married to wife Michelle. Michelle is a Human Resources Advisor with Agrium in Soda Springs. They have a son Hunter (4) and a daughter Amber (2). Sheldon enjoys hunting, golfing, writing, and snow skiing in his spare time.
