Why Volunteer? Volunteering is a fun way to get to know others and help your community at the same time. If you do any kind of volunteer work and report your hours to the club, we get points for it that translate to additional funding for more fun and informative events and speakers in the future. Volunteering also helps you in your future -- it looks good on your CV or grad school application and developing a history of volunteerism gives professors more good things to say about you on recommendation letters.
