The Oboler Library provides library instruction for a variety of classes. Classes range from introductory sessions (First Year Seminar, Communication 101, English 102) to specialized sessions designed for specific graduate degree programs. The classes are usually arranged between the course professor and the library instructor. Additional information can be found on the Library Instructional Services page.
It is possible for students to arrange individual instruction sessions by approaching the Reference Desk on the first floor of Oboler Library.
Journal Indexes, Electronic and Print Journals, Electronic Books, Course Reserves, etc.
Library Catalog: Locate materials owned by the ISU library.
Find Articles: Search for topics using indexes to the contents of periodicals from over 150 databases.
A-Z Journal List: Access the complete text and select backfiles of all electronic journal subscriptions, and link to the library catalog to see holdings and locations for all print journal subscriptions.
Course Reserve Materials Use the Course Reserves tab of the library catalog to locate all reserve materials, including online materials.

The Oboler Library makes available a range of study spaces for student use.
Study Rooms are available on the first and second floors of the library. Study Room D on the first floor is available on a first-come first-serve basis. The study rooms on the second floor are available on a reservation basis. Reservations may be made by contacting the Circulation Department at (208) 282-3248. Carrels for individual study and tables for group study are available throughout the library.
Specific areas of the Oboler Library have been designated as quiet study spaces. The Law Library, the Periodicals stacks, and the Government Document stacks are intended for quiet study only.
Distance Library Services
ISU Libraries provide library and information support for the ISU distance learning students and off-campus faculty and staff. See Distance Library Services to learn more about services available to students who do not attend classes on the Pocatello campus.
Idaho Health Sciences Library Services
Students in the health sciences receive the same services as any ISU student. Specialized services related to the health sciences are also provided by Idaho Health Sciences Library (IHSL) staff.
