The assessments done for the accreditation process provided documentation of faculty and graduate student dissatisfaction with the Library's collection. Most, if not all, graduate students and faculty feel that the Library's holdings are not extensive enough for their research. Therefore, every new graduate program should propose additional funds for information resources. Departments and/or deans should contact the departmental bibliographer in the Library for a full assessment of the collection in an area. In most cases, the minimum amount suggested will be $5,000. In the case of a new PhD program, the amount may be significantly higher. The list of bibliographers is available on the Library's web page here. Please plan on a minimum of two weeks for such an assessment.
