Study Space

The Oboler Library makes available a range of study spaces for student use.

Study Rooms are available on the first and second floors of the library. Study Room D on the first floor is available on a first-come first-serve basis. The study rooms on the second floor are available on a reservation basis. Reservations may be made by contacting the Circulation Department at (208) 282-3248. Carrels for individual study and tables for group study are available throughout the library.

Specific areas of the Oboler Library have been designated as quiet study spaces. The Law Library, the Periodicals stacks, and the Government Document stacks are intended for quiet study only.

Focus on Research

Research Alerts: Many of the Library's online resource databases have a feature called an alert service, which allows you to receive updated, automated search results via email.

Instructional Services

Classes range from introductory sessions (First Year Seminar, Communication 101, English 102) to specialized sessions designed for specific graduate degree programs. The classes are usually arranged between the course professor and the library instructor.
