Statistics Historical Statistics of the United States (Reference Desk: HA 202. H 57 2006): This five volume set contains thousands of charts, graphs, and tables that cover the population (volume one), work and welfare (volume two), economic structure and performance (volume three), economic sectors (volume four), and governance and international relations (volume five). Each volume contains a cumulative index. Idaho Statistical Abstract (Reference Desk: HC 107. I 2 I 17): This collection of statistical data about Idaho details Idaho's demographics, economics, employment, education and more. Indexed. (Note: Volume two was never published.) Statistical Abstract of the United States: 2006 (Reference Desk: C 3.134: 2006): This statistical abstract contains thousands of charts detailing the demographics, economics, education, and more of the United States. Indexed. Statistics Sources (Reference Desk: Z 7551. S 84): Organized topically, this guide to statistics resources points out thousands of different places to find statistical information. Style Guides The Little, Brown Handbook (Reference Desk: PE 1112. F 64 2004): This handbook contains extensive notes about grammar, spelling, and improving writing skills. This book also includes information about citing books, articles, and other materials in MLA, APA, and other commonly used styles. A Writer's Resource (Reference Desk: PE 1408. M 3366 2003): This writing manual contains information about citing books, articles, and online resources in MLA, APA, and other frequently used styles. Tools for Librarians Idaho Blue Book 2005-2006 (Reference Desk: JK 7531 2005-2006): This book contains information about branches and agencies of the Idaho state government, Idaho's senators and representatives, its history, and more. Indexed. Idaho State University Operating Budget 2005-2006 (Reference Collection: LD 2308. I 593 I 36): These two volumes contain the operating budget for Idaho State University. A more recent version can be found online (ISU e-mail name and password required to log in). Periodical Title Abbreviations: By Abbreviation (Reference Desk: Z 6945. A 2 W 34 2000): This book gives the full titles of thousands of journals from around the world. Titles are listed by abbreviation. |

| Bartleby.com: This Web site allows full text searching of a number of reference works, including the sixth edition of the Columbia Encyclopedia, Barlett's Familiar Quotations, numerous dictionaries and thesauri, and more. E-LIS: "E-LIS is an open access archive for scientific or technical documents, published or unpublished, on Librarianship, Information Science and Technology, and related areas. E-LIS relies on the voluntary work of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and is non-commercial. It is not a funded project of an organization. It is community-owned and community-driven.
