History of the Mass Media in the United States (Reference Center: P 92. U 5 H 55 1998): This encyclopedia contains hundreds of articles
on important figures in mass media; concepts such as censorship, copyright, fairness doctrine, niche theory; and analyses of the role of politics in
media, the development of different forms of mass media, and more. Indexed.
International Encyclopedia of Communications (Reference Collection: P 87.5 I 5 1989): This encyclopedia contains
articles that define and explore concepts in communications. Terms and concepts include advertising and mass media, writing systems, oral
culture and history, music, telecommunications and more. The last volume contains a cumulative index. Language and Communication: A Cross-Cultural Encyclopedia (Reference Collection: P 29. F 47 1998): This encyclopedia contains articles that define and explore the history of communications concepts. This encyclopedia primarily focuses on linguistics topics such as individual languages, creoles and pidgens, and related cultural topics like xenoglossia and more. Indexed. The Encyclopedia of Propaganda (Reference Collection: HM 263. E 53 1998): This multi-volume encyclopedia covers the use of propaganda by political and religious groups through history, focusing primarily on the twentieth century.
