Art and Architecture Thesaurus Online Produced by the Getty Museum. A structured vocabulary of around 34,000 concepts, including 131,000 terms, descriptions, bibliographic citations, and other information relating to fine art, architecture, decorative arts, archival materials, and material culture.

Artcyclopedia: This Web site functions as a basic art and architecture encyclopedia. It contains brief biographies of artists, definitions of movements, and searches dozens of art museums around the world to locate works of art. Use the glossary to find definitions of techniques, tools, and materials.
Artlex: This online art and architecture dictionary provides short definitions for materials, styles, techniques, and terms. This glossary covers a wide variety of visual arts including sculpture, architecture, painting and drawing, book art, and more.
