CSI Library Access Information

  • ISU distance students who are taking classes on the CSI campus and are on the list of students provided by the university are eligible for a CSI Library card valid for that semester. Its fee is waived for extension students.
Currently, the CSI Library must call Idaho State University-Twin Falls for verification, as there is no list of students.
  • Students must provide official picture identification when applying for a library card.
  • Students must complete a CSI Library application form before checking out items.
  • The form must be completed at least once each semester and at any time address or contact information changes.
  • ISU students who live in the eight-county area but are not taking classes on the CSI campus are not considered to be extension students.  If they wish to use the CSI library services, they have to apply for a CSI Library Courtesy Card.

The eight-county area includes the following: Twin Falls, Jerome, Gooding, Cassia, Minidoka, Lincoln, Blaine and Elmore.

CSI Library Courtesy Card holders enjoy many of the benefits enjoyed by CSI students, faculty and staff, with few restrictions.

  • If you are resident of the Twin Falls area and a commuter student of ISU (i.e. travels to ISU campus to take classes), and not a registered CSI student and not a CSI campus extension student then you would have to pay for a CSI Library Courtesy card. The cost is $25 per year.
