| September 15 | Time Management

5-6pm Heritage, Pond Student Union At the end of the day, we sometimes ask ourselves where the time went and what we have to show for our efforts. Some days we seem very busy—without producing tangible results. In this workshop, you will be shown specific methods to become more efficient so you can say that you really accomplished something. The goal of this workshop is to help you work smarter and make wiser decisions about tasks you need to complete. |

Noon -1pm & 5-6pm Heritage, Pond Student Union Leaders frequently need to make decisions that affect many people. Through involvement in an activity and discussion, you will learn basic elements of wise decision making as well as your own preferred decision making style. |
| October 3 | The Communication of Leadership
Noon -1pm North Fork, Pond Student Union
5-6pm Heritage, Pond Student Union We will discuss various types of communication and how and when to use each type as a leader. Upon completion of this workshop, you will know when to utilize directive versus passive communication and understand how to reach meaningful compromise. Whatever your position or goals, there will be something for you that will lead to stronger communication and leadership skills. |

Noon -1pm & 5-6pm Heritage, Pond Student Union Join us to discuss group dynamics and how groups move through stages of growth. You’ll learn three main characteristics of a winning team and develop skills that will inspire your team players to “go the extra mile.” |
| November 14 | What Is Your Leadership Style
Noon -1pm & 5-6pm Heritage, Pond Student Union This session will give you the opportunity to examine ten different leaderships styles commonly used in a variety of professional industries today. You willhave an opportunity to explore the strengths of each style and develop a method of choosing the “right” style for your future professional career. |

Embracing Change
Noon -1pm & 5-6pm Heritage, Pond Student Union Leadership often involves being an agent of change, yet change is difficult or scary for many of us. We will discuss some key concepts from Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson, MD. (Participants may read it in advance, but it is not required.) We’ll also review Prochaska and DiClemente's Stages of Change Model. You will learn about different approaches people take regarding change, decide what your own approach tends to be, and discuss ramifications. |
