Pennies for Peace Campaign
January 28-February 28
The Pennies for Peace program helps students broaden their cultural horizons and realize their capacities as philanthropists. Participating schools and groups organize students to collect pennies to donate to new educational opportunities for children in Pakistan and Afghanistan. As the program reminds us, "While a penny is virtually worthless, in impoverished countries a penny buys a pencil and opens the door to literacy." Pennies for Peace shows students that they can make a positive impact on a global scale, one penny at a time.
All events are free and open to the public.
