Ann Eshenaur Spolarich
Ann Eshenaur Spolarich is an internationally recognized author and speaker on pharmacology and the care of medically complex patients, and has given over 750 lectures at professional meetings and universities throughout the United States and in 5 foreign countries. She has published over 60 papers, and 6 chapters in dental hygiene textbooks. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Journal of Dental Hygiene, a member of several journal editorial review boards, and is a consultant to the National Center for Dental Hygiene Research. She is a past and current Chair of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Council on Research.
Ann has held several academic appointments, including Thomas Jefferson University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Currently, she teaches Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, and Pharmacology in the Audiology Department at the Arizona School of Health Sciences. She is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Southern California Dental School, and a Clinical Instructor on the Dean’s Faculty at the University of Maryland Dental School. In addition to her teaching, Ann is an independent contractor, providing research and educational consulting services to both private and professional organizations. Ann practices dental hygiene part-time in Arizona and in Maryland, and resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
