Mary M. Whitaker, Au.D., CCC-A. Dr. Whitaker has been an audiologist for 21 years. Her areas of interest include pediatric audiology, educational audiology, electrophysiologic evaluation, early hearing detection and intervention and working with persons with hearing loss and their families. She teaches Counseling for Audiologists, Educational Audiology, Pediatric Audiology, Audiometry and Tympanometry, and Speech Development: Deaf Students. She is the ISU Hearing Clinic Director and a supervisor in the hearing clinic. She earned her doctorate of audiology from the University of Florida and a Masters degree in Hearing Science from the University of Arizona. She is committed to ongoing continuing education actively seeking opportunities for growth in many areas which impact the lives of persons with communication difficulties. Most recently her focus has included the ever expanding area of hearing loss and genetics.
