Program Information
Using weekend classes, internet offerings, special "expert" colloquia and sessions, and work-related projects will be the cornerstones of the Center's delivery method. Programs and courses available via distance and cyber technology to professionals in any number of locations, regardless of the course's point of origin, will reinforce and create an ISU health care presence across the state and the InterMountain West. By offering focused, intensive programs of study, Center courses span the distances of our rural setting yet ensure outstanding academic standards and the social/professional interaction characteristic of a true community of learning.
The Center will fulfill a number of the State Board's and ISU goals within one administrative unit. It will broaden ISU's offerings to healthcare professionals, it will provide high quality education to all citizens of Idaho regardless of location, it will begin to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in this state by meeting healthcare organizations continuing education needs, and it will create the multidisciplinary experience so vital to today's professionals.
