| The lessons on this page are designed to be
taken in sequence. Some ISU instructors use the lessons in their courses
to introduce students to WebCT and associate a quiz with the lessons in order
to assure student success getting started in their courses. |

|
| Lesson 0 |
How to log into WebCT.
This lesson is not numbered because it is not intended to be offered within
WebCT. The rest of the lessons are meant to be linked from within WebCT.
It shows how to locate the WebCT login screen and explains the protocol for
student usernames and passwords. |
| Lesson 1 |
How to set your browser to
work with WebCT. This lesson is especially important for logging in from
home. There are several settings which are critical to using WebCT successfully
which are shown in this lesson. |
| Lesson 2 |
How to navigate and print in
WebCT. The various types of files in WebCT have different methods of
printing. Printing HTML and PDF files is shown in this lesson. |
| Lesson 3 |
How to get help with WebCT.
Technical support can be provided by different resources. It's important
that students know who to turn to for technical support depending on the
situation. |
| Lesson 4 |
Discussions in WebCT.
The WebCT Discussion tool is a 'bulletin board' where messages can be posted
for others to read at a later time.
|
| Lesson 5 |
Mail in WebCT. The
WebCT Mail tool works much like email but is contained entirely within a
WebCT course.
|
| Lesson 6 |
Chat in WebCT. The
WebCT Chat tool is an online meeting space where participants use text to
'talk' with one another while logged on at the same time.
|
| Lesson 7 |
