End of Semester Procedures for WebCT

At the end of each semester there are three procedures course designers need to follow in order to prepare course sites for future use or archiving. The procedures are as follows:

  1. Update the ITRC on the status of each course. You should have received an email from the ITRC regarding this if you taught Summer 2005 with WebCT. By responding to this email, the ITRC will know if/when you plan to use your WebCT site(s) again. We need a response for each WebCT course.
  2. Remove any old associations each course has with an ISU Index number.
  3. Make a backup file of each course and remove students from it, by resetting the course.

If a response is not received for a WebCT course, the ITRC will archive the course September 2, 2005. Archived courses are backed up so they can be restored at any time. If you have any questions about these procedures, please don’t hesitate to call 282-5880 or email itrc@isu.edu.
