The ISRT is a membership society for all professionals in Radiologic Sciences. We, as an affiliate of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), work as advocates, together with others to promote quality patient care in the State of Idaho. We serve the needs of our members by providing educational opportunities and the means of networking and communicating information. An annual conference is held each years and members have an opportunity to share common goals and enhance their education. We are committed to our profession, the ethical values we embrace, and the continued professional development needed to uphold the quality of service we provide.
The Idaho Society of Radiologic Technologists is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging professional growth in the Radiologic Sciences. The purpose of this Society is to professionally enhance the professions of radiology and the imaging specialties; to maintain high standards of education, to improve the quality of patient care, and to develop the socioeconomic standing of Radiologic Technologists in the State of Idaho. The Idaho Society of Radiologic Technologists was organized in 1941 to serve Radiologic Technologists throughout the State of Idaho. It has an annual conference and provides a publication entitled "Scattered Radiation". Membership is open to Registered Radiologic Technologists, Student Technologists, and retired or inactive members. The Society offers an "Outstanding Radiologic Technologist" award. It is called the "Jean Machacek Memorial Award". The Jean Machacek Memorial Award is dedicated to promoting the profession. The award is given at the annual Society meeting. It is not necessarily awarded on an annual basis. Nominees for this award are voted on by the Awards Committee.
