National Student Exchange
Idaho State University offers its students the opportunity to attend one of nearly 200 campuses in the United States, Canada, the Virgin Islands, Guam and Puerto Rico for a one or two semester exchange through the National Student Exchange Program. Visit their website at http://www.nse.org/
What will you do?
- Live and attend an accredited school in a different part of the United States or Canada for 1 or 2 semesters while maintaining ISU student status
- Pay ISU tuition or host university in-state tuition
- Broaden your geographic and cultural horizons
- Become more independent and marketable
- Enhance your study program by taking courses not available at ISU
Explore a new academic environment
Minimum Requirements for Participation:
- Fulltime enrollment at ISU in the semester immediately preceding the exchange
- 2.5 cum Grade Point Average at application time and before departure
- Sophomore status at the time the exchange takes place
- Fulltime enrollment at the host institution
Participating Students
- Earn ISU resident credit while on exchange
- Receive financial aid and scholarships through ISU if on Plan B
- Receive financial aid through host institution if on Plan A
- Meet with the ISU NSE advisor to plan their exchange
- Preplan and pre-approve course credits at the host institution with their advisor(s) to ensure compatibility with their degree program
- Will have the time of their life!
Priority Application Deadlines
For Fall Semester or Academic Year Exchange: February 15
For Spring Semester Exchange: November 15
