Additional Cost Information

For more information about estimated costs see http://www.isu.edu/finserv/costinfo.shtml.
Note: International Students are required to be enrolled for 12 credit hours per semester.

Please Remember!

The above estimate DOES NOT INCLUDE any additional class or laboratory fees. This can range anywhere from $15 - $200 per semester.

You are responsible for fee payment at the time of registration. The IPO encourages you to bring enough money, in the form of traveler’s checks or a certified bank check with a bank routing number, made payable, in US funds, to Idaho State University to cover the above expenses.

Please note that checks payable to ISU for more than $10,000 USD WILL NOT be accepted.

Depending upon your lifestyle, you should plan on an additional $100-$300 per month for personal expenses. Pocatello’s cost of living is very moderate.

All costs are fixed and cannot be reduced. Living expenses are based on a moderate lifestyle with double occupancy dormitory housing and a medium priced meal plan.

Tuition, housing, and room and board fees can be paid on a monthly installment plan.A minimum 25% down payment must be made on all tuition and health insurance fees at the beginning of the semester and a $ 10.00 processing fee applies. Students who do not pay their tuition fees on time will be disenrolled and terminated in SEVIS and may be subject to deportation by immigration authorities.

Students from countries with currency export restrictions may be required to make a one semester down payment for all expenses before an I-20 can be issued.

Ability to cover total estimated costs for 2 semesters must be shown in official bank/investment documents before an I-20 can be issued as per government regulation.

Please understand that the costs reflected above are real costs and cannot be lowered. You must pay tuition, insurance, and books at the beginning of each semester. Books are not included in the tuition price.

If you are going to bring a spouse or dependent children with you, you must show an extra $ 3,000.00 per spouse or child for your I-20. Please let us know when you apply that you want to bring dependents and how many.
