Undergraduate Application Checklist

Application Fee of US $ 40.00

Send a bank cashier’s check in US funds with bank routing number or international money order.
Needed to Process Application and Documents

Official Proof of English Proficiency
(not required for most students from a country where English is the primary official language)

Official TOEFL or IELTS score or ACT Verbal Score or SAT Critical Reading Score, or COMPASS English Score, or ELS 112 completion sent directly from the testing center to us.
Needed for admission

Official Secondary School Transcripts with graduation date posted or diploma or official test results from countries where graduation is based on an examination. Not required of students who have earned at least 26 college/university credits.

Include or have sent official copies in a sealed school envelope AND official English translation if official language is not English. For WAEC results please contact us for instructions.

Official College/University Transcripts

Include or have sent official copies in a sealed envelope from all previously attended colleges/universities AND official English translation if official language is not English.

ISU Declaration of Financial Support Form

Send ISU form filled out and signed and also the required original bank account statements and bank letter on official bank stationary signed by a bank officer. We will return bank documents to you with I-20/DS-20129 for visa application.
Needed for I-20/DS-2019 issuance

Copy of passport picture page, copy of visa, and copy of I-20 or DS-2019.

Only required for students who are in the U.S. already.

Minimum Requirements for Admissions Consideration

Grade Point Average: 2.0/C on a scale of 0-4 and certain number of passes on exam for some countries. Please contact us for more information if you are from a country where secondary school completion is exam based.

English Proficiency:TOEFL Paper 500 Computer 173 Internet Based 61 IELTS 5, ELS 112 successfully completed, COMPASS pass into ISU English 101, SAT Critical Reading Score of 450, ACT Verbal Score of 18
