How to Apply

There are four steps to applying for a Scholarship for Disadvantaged Student.

1. Read the definition of "disadvantaged" and see if you think you may qualify.
2. If you believe you qualify, check the list of qualifying departments to see if your department qualifies.
3. The application will be available by July 2006.
4. Send the form to Ms. Debbie Green at the Institute of Rural Health Studies. The "Contact Us" page provides you with the information as to where to send your application.

After we receive your application, a scholarship committee will review it and contact you regarding your eligibility. Funds are disbursed at the beginning of each semester (fall, spring and when funds are available, summer). The application deadline for fall 06 is 8/5/06, the sooner it can be reviewed. Applications received after 8/5/06 will not be considered for the fall scholarship disbursement.
