Better Todays. Better Tomorrows

This school- and community-based program, seeks to reduce suicide in school-age children through gatekeeper trainings on the signs and symptoms of mental disorders and trauma. Better Todays is part of our larger anti-stigma Social Marketing program to reduce stigma toward people with mental illnesses, their families, and people with other disabilities. Better Todays is conducted in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness Idaho Chapter.

Five Feathers Health Families Project

To enhance protection and minimize risk factors of children with substance abusing parents on an Indian Reservation.

Idaho Bioterrorism Awareness and Preparedness Program (IBAPP)

Through innovative research and demonstration, IBAPP is preparing Idaho’s health care workforce to effectively protect the health of Idaho’s population through emergency management of pandemic disease, bioterrorism, and natural or man-made disasters. The program has developed onsite, distance learning, simulation laboratory, and virtual reality training methods to bring state-of-the-art information and training directly to health care professionals throughout the state. Funding is from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, Grant # T01HP06420.

National Child Traumatic Stress Network – Center for Rural, Frontier & Tribal Traumatic Stress

To assist rural, frontier, and tribal communities in the treatment of child traumatic stress through technology-augmented resources.
