Health IT Outreach Program
The ISU Institute of Rural Health has launched an outreach program to assist Southeastern Idaho health clinics effectively deploy and manage Health IT. Services are provided by our experienced IT staff for a small fee in order to recover the costs of running the program.
For many smaller clinics in Southeastern Idaho, having a full-time IT staff is simply not realistic. This is in part due to the high cost, and also due to the lack of qualified personnel. This results in lower penetration of health information technology in the region. The Health IT Outreach Program serves as a shared resource for Southeastern Idaho to meet those needs on an on-demand basis.
