Course Title

Hazardous Material Awareness – Delivered by EST (8 hour course)

Description

Course covers provides a basic understanding of Hazardous Materials, key on-scene indicators of a events, and appropriate self-protective measures. The course also covers appropriate notifications and the command and control structure associated with crime scene activities.

Target Audience

First Responders from all disciplines and services, i.e., personnel from fire service, emergency management, emergency medical services, law enforcement, HazMat, public works, disaster response, emergency communications, public health, armed forces/national guard, elected/appointed officials, transportation, public safety communication, health care, and governmental administrative.

This course meets prerequisite requirements for future courses.
Note: There is a limit of 30 students per class.

Student Expectations

To receive certification, students are expected to be in attendance during the entire length of the course and successfully complete all aspects of testing.
