As many as 3.8 million sports-related or recreation-related concussions occur in the U.S. every year. On this episode we explore the seriousness of concussions among athletes. This is an issue for athletes in junior high-all the way up to the pros. We talk to the professionals about why it s so vital for everyone, from athletes to coaches to parents, to have the facts on this topic.

Heart Health Facts
- The Heart pumps vital blood to every organ. It beats 100-thousand times a day. That's 35-Million times a year, and 2.5 Billion times in an average lifetime.
- Everyday, your heart creates enough energy to drive a truck 20 miles. Over a lifetime that's enough energy to drive to the moon and back.
FIT Principle of Exercise
- F – Frequency, the amount of times that you would exercise in a week.
- I – Intensity, how hard you will work out and how much effort you will put into the workout.
- T – Type, the type of workout you will be doing to raise your heart rate
Maximum Heart Rate:
To find your maximum heart rate, subtract your age from two hundred. For best results, exercise a minimum of two to three times a week.
