Counseling, Testing and Career Services is located in the Bennion Student Union in Room 223. Photo ID is required. We accept cash or checks only, no credit cards.
ACT eCOMPASS PLACEMENT TESTING:
This test allows for placement in ISU Math, English and Foreign Language classes. Testing is available 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday - Friday (8am to 2pm during the summer) on a walk- in basis. There is a $7 per test, sitting fee for Math and English (cash or check only). Foreign Language placement tests are free of charge. Please bring photo ID and know your Social Security number when you come to take the test.
MILLER ANALOGY TESTING ( MAT):
The Miller Analogies Test is a computer-based test taken by graduate school candidates.
In order to schedule the MAT the candidate must pre-pay the $110 sitting fee. This fee is non- refundable. Payment options include cash or personal check. The candidate must bring photo ID and know their Social Security Number when taking the test. Score results are available immediately following the test.

TEST OF ESSENTIAL ACADEMIC SKILLS (TEAS):
The TEAS is taken by nursing school candidates. The TEAS is only available to ISU students between May 15th and September 30th.
In order to schedule the TEAS the candidate must pre-pay the $70 sitting fee. Payment options include cash or personal check. Score results are available immediately following the test. The candidate must bring a photo ID and know their Social Security Number when taking the test.

PLEASE NOTE:
Counseling, Testing and Career Services in Idaho Falls does NOT offer the following:
- GED
- HSE
- ACT Residual
- CLEP
- GRE
- GMAT
- PRAXIS
- Prometic testing
- Pearson VUE testing
These tests are only available at the ISU Testing Center in Pocatello. Please call 282-4907 for further information.
Testing for ISU classes is NOT done at Counseling, Testing and Career Services. Please call Student Services at 282-7800 to arrange ISU class testing in Idaho Falls.
Counseling, Testing and Career Services DOES proctor testing for other colleges and universities. Please call 208-282-7750 for proctor information.
- Web Testing- This service is for any online test (including correspondence) that requires
proctoring.
- The proctoring fee is $15.00 per hour with a minimum of $15.
- Before a test can be scheduled, the course instructor must provide Counseling, Testing and Career Services with the testing candidate's name, passwords and specific test instructions to the following e-mail address: iftest@isu.edu.
- You must CALL to schedule a web test. You must also know the length of the test in order to schedule. Call 282-7750 to schedule.
- Valid ID is required to test. A current government-issued photo ID with a signature is required for all candidates.
- Paper-Based Testing- This service is provided for any paper based test (including correspondence) that requires proctoring.
- The proctoring fee is $15.00 per hour, with a minimum of $15
