About ISU Idaho Falls

Lyle Castle, Ph.D.

I would like to welcome you to Idaho State University – Idaho Falls, where residents of the Upper Snake River Valley find life-changing educational opportunities close to home.

We have nearly 2,500 students taking advantage of the wide range of courses and degree programs available at ISU – Idaho Falls, conveniently located on the banks of the Snake River at University Place.

The student body includes traditional and non-traditional students as well as working parents and career-oriented professionals.

Through day and evening classes, they are pursuing professional certificates as well as associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.

We emphasize science and engineering at ISU – Idaho Falls. That makes sense given our relationship with and proximity to the Idaho National Laboratory, the U.S. Department of Energy's Idaho Operations Office, and the new Center for Advanced Energy Studies.

Yet students benefit as well from courses that reach across liberal arts, education, business, technology, and health care.

Importantly, all of our courses and degree programs draw on the resources and prestige of Pocatello-based Idaho State University, a Carnegie-rated doctoral-level research institution.

Idaho State University – Idaho Falls can help you achieve your educational objectives. Pay us a visit sometime, and we’ll show you how.
