This year we have a variety of ways to donate and win some amazing prizes! See below.
Dunk the Director - November 14
ITS Bowling Tournament - November 18 and 20
Pie In Your Face Contest - November 20
See below for more exciting ways to give and to win! Prizes include trips to Grand America in Salt Lake City, iPads, iPads, iPads, and lots of parking spaces!
Ways to Win:
1. Pie in Your Face Contest*: Win an Apple iPad or a 1 Year Parking Space! NEW EVENT!
Thursday, November 20 in the Pond Student Union
(exact times will be announced later)
For $35 a department can enter the contest by nominating a willing participant. The participant can then opt out by paying $20 and providing a willing substitute. At the event, $5 is all it costs to “pie” the person. The top two earning departments will earn an Apple iPad (1st place) or a 1-Year Parking Space (2nd place) to raffle off in their department. We will advertise the department volunteers before the actual event so others can come share in the fun of our new Pie in Your Face Contest!
2. Shopping is Grand at the Grand America Drawing*:
We have two trips available in this drawing for a one night stay at Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City! Includes executive room, $100 shopping credit at the Grand Shops, Afternoon Tea for two, a pedicure for two at the Grand Spa, and complimentary parking. If you aren't into shopping you can also choose Music is Grand, Princess Getaway, Night at the Museum, or Santa and the Grand Package! Tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20 and will be sold in Human Resources until November 28, at the Dunk the Director and ITS Bowling events. You can also send a check to Human Resources at Stop 8107, or purchase in Human Resources.
3. 1 year Reserved Parking Space and Payroll Deduct Challenge*:
Sign up to donate at least $2 per pay period or $52 through payroll deduction and you will be entered to win one of our 4 available 1-year reserved parking spaces. If your name is drawn you will receive a reserved parking space in front of or near your building. By donating through payroll deduct, giving is easier and less painful on your pocketbook. This challenge is so easy, you won't miss just $2 per paycheck, and your donation will impact someone less fortunate in our community. To enter simply fill out your donation form for payroll deduction or attach a check or cash and give it to your team captain.
Please call us if you have not received a form or click donation form to print one.
4. $100 or More Club Challenge*:
Donate $100 or more to get your name into this challenge to win 1 of 2 available Apple iPads. This donation can be made by check, cash or payroll deduction. The odds of winning an iPad are great with this challenge!
5. Division Challenge*:
The Top 2 Divisions with the highest dollar amount per capita of giving will win an Apple iPad to raffle off in their division! How does your division win? If everyone in your division gives $1, your per capita amount will be $1. So, to increase your chances of being the winning division, encourage everyone to give a little bit more this year! Not only will it help your division win, but every individual that gives increases their chances to win by every dollar they give. We are encouraging our Division chairs and team captains to come up with fun ways to encourage donating to the ISU United Way Campaign and to help their division win!
6. United Way Challenge*:
This year, for every dollar you give, you get an entry to win one of many great prizes. Give $10? You'll get 10 chances to win. Give $50? You'll get 50 chances to win. So give more this year! We have a Kindle, One night Yurt Rental, Performing Arts tickets, Athletic Tickets, Massages, Car Detailing, ISU Bookstore Gift Cards, and much more. Participating in our other events automatically enters the participant into this challenge.
The current economic climate, recent layoffs and ongoing needs for Southeast Idaho makes this year's campaign important. Because of corporate sponsorships 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to area programs the United Way sponsors or you can designate eligible 501(c)3 organizations. Contact us for more information.
