Long term care (LTC) insurance helps pay for a wide range of personal care, health care and social services for people who can no longer care for themselves. This type of care is not covered under State health insurance benefits. LTC insurance benefits provide assistance with normal activities of daily living, such as eating, dressing or bathing if the insured is disabled or suffering from a chronic illness. It will also provide assistance for a serious cognitive disorder such as Alzheimer’s disease. LTC provides a daily benefit to help offset the costs associated with custodial care.
Special information on Long Term Care rates, benefits, etc., will be offered in several meetings taking place around the State of Idaho during the second week in February, 2006. Click here to view a list of the cities, dates, times and meeting places.
