Library Student Assistant
Performs routine library work involving service to patrons, or collection and records mainenance, or bibliographic searching and verification. Typical duties include: questions patrons to determin information needs; responds to basic reference materials and use of collections and computer catalogs, indexes, and a variety of library equipment; performs basic searching involving use of computer terminals and standard bibliographic sources in computerized, microform, or printed format; inventories collection and searches for missing materials; organizes and shelves materials. May handle cash, issue receipts, and prepare deposits; may perform HTML coding for Library Web page; may maintain hardware and software for library computers; may prepare accounting end of month reports; may sort manuscript collection for processing. Some knowledge of library terminology and functions.
Pay range: Min $7.25 - $9.77 hr
