Position: Practical Nursing Instructor
Full-time or part-time, 11-month position, non-tenure track, starting date to be announced.
Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and follow an approved course of study; facilitate clinical and laboratory instruction and evaluation; current knowledge and skill with nursing subjects being taught and up-to-date on technology and procedures found in the discipline; advise, promote, and actively participate in student organizations and a variety of committees; promote the program and professional technical education in the community; cooperatively work with administration and other practical nursing faculty to manage the Practical Nursing program; interface with employers to facilitate student employment and curriculum modification; promote cooperation with employers to cultivate clinical learning and job opportunities for program students and graduates; assist in student recruitment.
Minimum Qualifications
BSN required (MSN required for instructor/coordinator position); must possess (or be eligible for) and maintain licensure to practice as an RN in Idaho; three to eight years full-time, successful, recent, gainful employment as a registered nurse; certifiable as a practical nursing instructor in accordance with Idaho State Plan for Professional Technical Education, the Idaho Board of Nursing, and the Idaho Commission on Nursing and Nursing Education.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree with a major in nursing and faculty experience.
