Position: Planner/Advisor, Educational Talent Search
TRiO Student Services; Non-Classified; Full-time; 10-month appointment located in Burley, Idaho.
Responsibilities
Recruit, identify, and deliver program services to eligible 8th - 12th graders from target schools leading to successful post secondary enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree; experience with postsecondary admissions, financial aid and scholarships; high school graduation requirements; demonstrated ability to work effectively with Middle and High School administration, staff and students; knowledge of careers relating to academic course offerings and study skills expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree; TRiO experience and knowledge of respective target schools including Burley Middle/High Schools, Minico High School and East & West Minico Middle Schools; workshop, presentation, and computer literacy skills; knowledge of federal financial aid policies and procedure, and retention strategies for low-income and first generation students; and bi-lingual (Spanish and English) skills desirable. Familiarity with the TRiO pre-college program, Educational Talent Search.
