Position: Assistive Technology Specialist
ADA & Disability Resources Center; Non-Classified; Full-time; 12-month appointment.
Responsibilities
The role of the Specialist/Coordinator is to contribute and ensure that students' accommodations are being provided and administered properly in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The successful candidate will create, apply policies and best practices for implementation of various accommodations including book editing, e-text production, accommodated testing program, and general assistive technology for blind, visually impaired, and learning disabled individuals. This individual is also responsible for twenty to thirty percent of the intake evaluations compiled with new students pursuing accommodation services.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, demonstrated experience coordinating assistive technology.
