Position: Independent Assessment Provider
Idaho Center for Disabilities Evaluation; Non-Classified; Full-time; 12-month appointment located in Twin Falls starting June 1, 2008.
Responsibilities
Successful candidate will conduct clinical assessments for the Department of Health and Welfare Region VI adults with developmental disabilities who are applying for Medicaid services. The IAP is responsible for initial and annual eligibility determinations by administering and completing DD eligibility process, and aiding in the establishment of a plan of service, with a negotiated budget, based on the assessed needs of the client.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP)--meets the qualifications specified in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42, section 483.430. Candidate should have at least one year of experience working directly with persons with mental retardation or other developmental disabilities and is licensed as a doctor of medicine or osteopathy, or as a registered nurse; or has a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following professions: psychology, social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiology, professional recreation, a related human services profession or another health related field and has experience in completing and interpreting assessments. Master’s degree in a health related field or Licensed Social Worker preferred.
