Position: Clinical Assistant Professor
Communication Sciences & Disorders and Education of the Deaf, POCATELLO campus, Full-time; 9 month non-tenure appointment beginning August 2010.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical teaching to students (mostly first year graduate students) in the Speech Language Pathology program. Supervision requires reviewing patient records, meeting with students to plan therapy sessions, observing sessions, providing feedback to student clinicians to change or to continue the therapy, evaluating/grading students’ clinical work, and other activities for teaching about the clinical process in general and about the assigned client in particular.
Conduct service and complete scholarly/creative activity.
Additional duties may include recruiting clients, advising students, and participating in comprehensive exams.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; nationally certified with ASHA CCC-SLP; must be eligible for Idaho State Licensure in SLP; a minimum of 3 years experience as an SLP; and evidence of capacity for teaching and of solid clinical knowledge/practice.
