Position: Director, Intermountain Center for Education Effectiveness (Updated 4/24/2008)
Office of Academic Affairs/College of Education ; Non-Classified; Full-time; 12-month appointment starting academic year 2008.

Responsibilities
The mission of the Intermountain Center for Education Effectiveness (ICEE) is to enhance the development and delivery of quality education, educational and research services, and educational policy in collaboration with local school districts, education agencies, professional organizations, business constituencies, and policy makers throughout the Intermountain West, working within partnerships to enhance the delivery of quality education. In accomplishing this mission, the ICEE will function as a multi-disciplinary University Center, integrating expertise from ISU's colleges, departments, and educational and business leaders throughout the region. The ICEE consists of five centers - Effective Schools, Accountability & Assessment, Economic Education, Policy Studies & Education Research, and Professional Development. The ICEE is housed in Academic Affairs and reports through the Dean of the College of Education. The Director is also a member and instructor in the Graduate Department of Educational Leadership and Instructional Design.
The Director will provide supervision and evaluation of ICEE staff; advance the work of the ICEE to align with the University and colleges' visions and missions; participate in Community, University, College and Department activities; work effectively with the Dean in partnering with university and community endeavors, and collaborate with P-12 programs; develop and sustain positive collaborative professional relationships with diverse shareholders; and effectively communicate and coordinate services to establish a strong university and community presence.
Minimum Qualifications
Educational Specialist Degree, Ed.S.; leadership experience required; ability to teach doctoral courses; record of securing and maintaining external funding; capacity to conduct and publish research; experience in management, operations, and budgeting; creative and visionary thinker and leader; highly effective communicator; success in formation, collaboration, and sustaining partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree and previous public School Administration experience preferred.
