Position: Development Officer
College of Business; Non-Classified; Full-time; 12-month appointment.
Responsibilities
- Reports to and works with Vice-President for University Advancement and Dean of the College of Business.
- Develops and implements successful models for securing major gifts.
- Establishes and acts on priorities for the solicitation of gifts during annual campaigns.
- Corresponds and meets with donors, potential donors, alumni and friends of the College.
- Coordinates prospect identification, management, cultivation, solicitation and receiving of major gifts.
- Develops an annual performance plan; prepares reports and analyses detailing results of development efforts.
- Coordinates stewardship reports for current donors.
- Develops proposals to seek funds for specific purposes from businesses and foundations.
- Travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and three or more years of relevant experience. Ability to create a positive image while representing the College. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Capability and desire to work as part of a team. Ability to work under loose supervision.
