Position: Assistant Director of Media Relations
Intercollegiate Athletics; Non-Classified; Full-time; 12-month appointment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for preparation and design of media guides, statistical information and publicity for all non-revenue sports, specifically women’s basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf, and soccer.
Duties include:
- Writes timely releases for assigned sports programs.
- Designs brochures, features, and game programs.
- Coordinates statistic collection/compilation.
- Interacts with area media personnel.
- Assists with program promotion.
- Interacts with Big Sky Conference office.
- Provides desktop publishing services to athletic staff.
- Assists Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations as needed.
- Knowledge and commitment to follow NCAA and Big Sky rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, or public relations, plus two years experience in a Sports Information office, or a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, plus four years experience in a Sports Information office.
