Position: Assistant/Associate Professor, Occupational Therapy
Full-time, 9-month faculty position starting August 2008.
Applicants are invited for a full-time, 9-month clinical or tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position to join our expanding entry-level Master's Degree program in Occupational Therapy at Idaho State University. The ISU Occupational Therapy program is positioned to offer an entry-level Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, the only OTD in the Northwest. This faculty member will join our faculty in shaping a dynamic and innovative occupational therapy curriculum at ISU.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include collaborating in the graduate occupational therapy program and course development, teaching courses in a practice specialty area, engaging in scholarly activity, mentoring graduate student research and serving on program and university committees.
Idaho State University is located in southeastern Idaho in Pocatello, a city of 60,000 within a three hour drive of Salt Lake City, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, and Sun Valley. Outdoor recreation activities are abundant on a year-round basis.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must have a doctoral degree or verified completion of a doctoral degree by start date; at least one year of teaching in higher education; three years of clinical experience; National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy; eligible for licensure in Idaho.
Preferred Qualifications
Record of scholarly activity, experience in advising research projects and theses, experience in grant writing and obtaining research funding.
