Child Care Assistant
Incumbents provide child care in a child care center. Typical duties: monitors, observes, and interacts with children; cares for the physical needs of children; maintains attendance, meal, and activity records; assures a safe environment; designs bulletin board and other displays; assists with food preparation, service, and cleanup; may perform custodial duties. Incumbants may assist with curriculum planning and class room management. Applicants will be required to pass an extensive background investigation before being hired into these positions. These positions involve lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, running, and climbing stairs. Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
Pay range: Min $7.25 - $8.60 hr
