Building Facility Assistant
Coordinates and provides equipment and facility set-up for meetings, conferences, and special events; sets up seating, tables, staging, program aids, and equipment; sets up and troubleshoots audio-visual operations including sound and lighting equipment such as sound systems, wireless microphones, mixers, video and data projectors, and connects telephone and audio data lines; provides customer service to building patrons; assists customers with set up of customer equipment; instructs customers in the use of audio visual equipment; assists customers and visitors with directions and information regarding events; performs facility maintainance and cleaning. Work involves repetitively lifting and carrying items weighing up to 90 pounds; bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, and operating lifts. Positions require working up to 30 feet above floor level. Incumbants are subject to call-in for work during special events including evenings and weekends. May be exposed to chemicals, toxins, or blood borne pathogens. Some knowledge of adding, substracting, multiplying and dividing whole number is required and must be able to interpret written and oral instructions.
Pay range: Min $7.25 - $9.77 hr
