Annual Leave, Faculty and Non-Classified Staff
- Faculty and Non-Classified staff on 12-month contracts earn vacation at the rate of 7.4 hours each biweekly pay period, 26 pay periods per year. There is a cap of 240 hours.
- Non-Classified staff on 9, 10, or 11-month contracts earn vacation at the rate of 7.4 hours each biweekly pay period during the months worked, accrued hours can only be used during months worked. There is a cap of 240 hours.
- Faculty members on 9, 10, or 11-month contracts do not accrue annual leave. Faculty time off would typically coincide with student breaks.
Annual Leave, Classified Staff
Classified employees and temporary employees on benefits accrue annual leave based on the length of service with the State of Idaho. Listed below are the rates at which leave accrues and the maximum hours allowable:
