Meal Plan Information

Eating habits and diets can change dramatically from high school to college. Just as a light eater can develop a hearty appetite, the reverse can happen as well. Students can change their meal plan up through the second week of classes.

ISU meal plans are all you can eat meal plans. A meal plan is required for all residence hall students. Meal plans are used at the Towers Dining Commons for all-you-can-eat board meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Flex dollars are used at Towers After Hours and the Rendezvous, where you pay per item. If a student runs out of flex dollars they can add more money onto their account by contacting Chartwells Business Office. Students in apartments may choose a meal plan or a commuter meal plan if they wish by calling Chartwells Dining Service, (208)-282-5831.

Meal Plans*:

(All you can eat meals and declining balance options)

Plan 1: All Meals (19 Meals/Week) & $150 Flex Money(per semester)$1475.00
Plan 2: 215 Meals/Semester & $400 Flex Money(per semester)$1350.00

Cancelling a Meal Plan

Meal plans may be changed or canceled during the first two weeks of classes. To cancel a meal plan after the first two weeks of classes, students must contact Chartwells in writing to submit a formal appeal. Visit the Chartwells web site for more information.

The Towers Dining Hall

Towers dining facility is located in Turner Hall. Open for approximately 11 hours a day, the Towers dining facility can meet virtually every diet by offering a convenient and large menu. There are four major service areas offered: Main Entrees, Soup and Salads, the Grill, and Deli Bar. There are unlimited number of seconds on all items, including drinks and deserts. Semesterly board meals and Flex dollars can be used at the Towers. When it comes to economy and nutrition, the Towers is by far the best choice on campus.

Rendezvous Food Court

Located in the Pond Student Union Building (PSUB), the Rendezvous offers fast food, salads, and drinks to students with Flex dollars or cash. The Rendezvous is a very popular place for lunch and snacks. Breakfast and evening meals are limited. The Rendezvous also features The Bengal Cafe.
