Name: Madisyn Schoonover

Hometown: Boise, Idaho

High School: Timberline High School

Major: Spanish and Pre- Pharmacy

Interests/Hobbies: Volleyball, traveling, boating, and skiing

Career Goal: I would like to become a pharmacist who is fluent in both English and Spanish. I would like to go study abroad in Spain before continuing on to pharmacy school to gain knowledge not only of the language but the culture as well.

Why ISUís Honors Program? When I came to ISU for a tour of the campus I learned a lot of things about the honors program and they all sounded like things I would be interested in. I loved ISUís campus and felt the honors program would be a perfect fit. I couldnít imagine myself spending the next years of my life anywhere else.

Honors Program Experience: The honors program has been such a great experience. Due to the small class sizes I was able to become very close with everyone in my classes. You make the journey together of your first step into a brand new experience and as you go you make close relationships with not only your fellow students but the professors as well. They truly make your experience even better because they work so hard to make sure you have all the tools you need to further your college education. Not only did you get to meet great people but you get awesome scholarship opportunities and priority registration. It was nice to know that you never had to worry about not getting into a class because you were always the first one registering for it. Being in the Honors Program at ISU is an experience Iím so thankful for and am so happy I am part of such an awesome organization.
